very kind words from MMP
Occasionally in this job, you receive a single which reminds you of why you started doing it in the first place. Shy And The Fight based up in Chester and North Wales here offer the most stirring, instrumentally rich kind of melodic folk that I’ve heard in a fair while. This is particularly so with A-side All That We See Or Seem which deftly builds layer upon layer, sounding somewhere between Tunng and Frightened Rabbit. Less gripping initially, though no less beautiful is B-side Breaks which factors in odd electronic glitches amidst the dreamy male/female vocal lines. Really wonderful stuff. SMR
